My Favourite iTWO cx Feature – Pin a Defect to Plan on the Mobile
For our latest blog series, we will be asking our iTWO cx Consultant team to take us through their favourite iTWO cx feature and explain why it creates value for our clients. This month, we spoke to our Consultant Rebecca David about the Pin to Plan mobile functionality.
When it comes to construction project management, it’s important to stay on top of everything. iTWO cx’s intelligent project collaboration tools allow users to quickly navigate to what’s important and eliminate email clutter. But what about when you’re on site? Luckily, iTWO cx has a dedicated mobile app that allows users to input important information on the go; a must for today’s busy construction professional!
The iTWO cx mobile app is especially important when you’re dealing with defects in construction projects, as you need to make sure that nothing is missed. Much of the comprehensive functionality of the iTWO cx Defects module is available within the mobile app, including Pin-to-Plan. Pin-to-Plan allows users to pinpoint exactly where a defect has occurred and provide details, by pinning a form to a drawing within the Publication Space. This is available on desktop as well as in the mobile app, and can be used even if you’re offline, as iTWO cx will be automatically updated once an internet connection is restored.
To get started, just open the iTWO cx App and navigate to the Defects Module.
Click on the Defect Register, then click on the Plans tab and select the relevant plan.
When the plan opens, click on the paint pallet tool. Then select the pin icon tool and drop it onto the plan where you noticed the defect. Next, you’ll be prompted to pick the form type. You can select either:
- Create new
- Search for existing forms via criteria
- Or view recently created forms
Once your selection has been made and submitted, the pin will appear on the plan for other parties to view!
Why is Pin to Plan on Mobile helpful?
This is such a useful feature in iTWO cx because you’re able to provide exact details of where the defect is; particularly handy with civil projects!
Colour coding of the pins also ensures that anyone checking the plan can see at a glance what defects are closed (green) and open (red).
Overall, users experience a smoother defects management process, which helps the project progress faster and within budget!
